What we do with your answers.
Written to be read. If any of this is unclear, that is our failure and we would like to know.
Last updated 29 July 2026.
What we collect
Only what is needed to work out what is open near you and to send you the result:
- A ZIP code, and the county and state we derive from it.
- Coarse answers about the situation: who it is for, an age range, the kinds of help needed, how urgent it is, transport, military service, whether somebody is already helping, and a preferred language.
- Your email address, and your first name if you gave one.
- A record of your consent: the exact wording you agreed to, when, and which page it came from.
What we deliberately cannot collect
There is no field in our database for any of the following, so they cannot be stored even by mistake:
- Social Security number
- Medicare number, member ID or policy number
- Bank or payment details
- Medical records, diagnoses or medication lists
- Uploaded documents or images of cards
Anything asking an older adult for those in order to find local services should be treated with suspicion, including us.
What we never do
- We never sell your information. Not to anyone, at any price.
- We never pass it to the organisations we list. If you call them, they will not have heard of you.
- We never sell insurance leads, and nobody here is paid a commission on an enrolment.
- We never put your answers in a URL, an analytics event, or a page anybody else can reach.
Your results link
Your results live at an address containing a long random code. It is not guessable and it is not indexed by search engines: the page refuses indexing in its own headers, not only in a robots file. Anyone with the link can open it, which is deliberate so you can forward it to a sibling, so treat it like a private link.
Analytics
We count events, never values. We record that somebody started the check, which question they stopped at, and that a result was produced. We do not record what any answer was. Abandonment by question is the most useful number we have, because it tells us which question is costing families their result.
We email you your results, and, if you agreed to it, we let you know when something in them changes. Local services close and waitlists open, which is the only reason that consent exists. Every email has a one click unsubscribe. Unsubscribing does not delete your record: ask for deletion separately if that is what you want.
How long we keep it
Your contact details and answers stay until you ask us to delete them. The anonymous record that somebody asked about a particular county is kept indefinitely, because it is what decides which county we research next, and it contains nothing that could identify anyone.
Deleting everything
Email privacy@aiononprofit.com from the address you used, or use the delete link at the bottom of your results. Deletion is real: your contact details are removed rather than flagged. What survives is the anonymous county count described above.
If you are in California, you have the right to know what we hold, to have it deleted, to correct it, and not to be discriminated against for asking. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law, so there is nothing to opt out of, but you can still ask us to confirm that.
Children
This service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 18.
